The Bratislava Region Office in Brussels

The Office for EU Relations was established in September 2002, as the very first representation of Slovak regions in Brussels, the heart of European institutions. Besides the fact that the influence of regions grew recently, another main objective for establishing the Office was the necessity for Slovak regions to efficiently analyse and participate in the formulation of European regional policy and projects.
The office, as part of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region Chairman’s Office, works closely with specialised units of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region Office and provides information about EU affairs, activities of other regions, legislation, EU programmes and projects. It supports co-operation with other European regions in order to improve the European integration process. The Office also supports representatives of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region in presenting its policy to European institutions, regions and associations, including tourism and cultural activities of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region.
